The Red Lion
I love this pub because it has the perfect atmosphere for a night out with friends. It has a great location in the center of town, but it is also close enough to walk from my house if I want something close by. Plus, they have some really tasty food options and the drinks are reasonably priced. I love coming here because of how comfortable and welcoming everyone always is. They know me by name and will often save me a seat at the bar if I’m running late. They’re open every day except Sunday so you can find plenty of hours that work well for you. Ye Olde George & Dragon
Sitting on the outskirts of London, Ye Olde George & Dragon is a traditional English pub with a large selection of food and drinks. The pub has been around since 1677, so it’s no surprise that it’s steeped in history. One word of warning for travelers who may be visiting for the first time: Ye Olde George & Dragon closes at 7pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends. That being said, this pub has great service and excellent beer. Plus, you can enjoy some bangers and mash while reading a story or two from their library! If you want to get into the Halloween spirit before Halloween even hits, stop by Ye Olde George & Dragon. They’re open until 8 pm on Sundays and they have plenty of games if you’re looking for something fun to do.
